Born from a lifelong fascination with ancient legends and forgotten folklore, this blog began as a way to gather old stories scattered across dusty books, oral traditions and ancient art — and keep them alive for new readers.
What started as a handful of notes scribbled while reading an old book of Norse legends has grown into a full archive of mythology and folklore from every corner of the world. We began with one conviction: that every legend, however small or strange, deserves to be told with care.
Today we collaborate with historians, folklorists and translators who share our respect for the source material, so every retelling we publish stays true to the spirit of the original legend, whether it was first carved into an ancient statue, painted onto old pottery, or passed down by word of mouth for generations.
We never rush a retelling. Every myth is researched against multiple sources, cross-checked with old books and ancient art, and written to honor the storytellers who came before us.
Clear sourcing, honest context, and no invented details — when a legend's true origin is uncertain, we say so plainly.
We've loved these stories since childhood, and that devotion shows in every myth and legend we retell.
A small, dedicated group devoted to uncovering and retelling the old legends.
